Course Overview
This course will help you grow as a leader and give you practical tools for helping others in their leadership development. To that end, we will explore six key practices of Christian leaders: 1) Cultivating a growing relationship with God, 2) developing godly character, 3) discerning and living out personal calling, 4) growing deep community, 5) building healthy teams, and 6) strengthening skills (you can see an overview of these practices in the sample video below). We will explore how we can grow in these practices and help others do the same. In addition to exploring these six practices, you will have an opportunity to articulate and inform your own theology of leadership.
Another key component of the course is understanding who we are as leaders. How has God gifted us?
You will also have an opportunity to discern or affirm your sense of God’s calling on your life. Based on who you are right now and who God is calling you to be and what He is calling you to do, how might you develop a personal leadership development plan to move you further in living out your calling.
A key way to take your learning even further is to process your questions and what you’re learning with a trusted mentor.
As I’ve taught this course material to both veteran and emerging leaders, I’ve seen God use it to deepen understandings about biblical leadership, clarify direction, affirm strengths, expose critical growth areas, and provide a framework for taking next steps.
I hope you will join me in this transformational journey.
